Did you unlock and do the strength challenges?
They’re unlocked, but I haven’t done them yet. I’m trying to increase my reps with the regular versions of those exercises before I move on to the challenges. Just getting through some of the exercises is challenging enough!

When you do them at first, you can “win” pretty easily, by that I mean that I think something like 10 reps will allow you to “beat” the trainer. However, I am not sure if it gets harder or not.

I am so bad, I have not done it in almost 3 weeks. 😊 I just do not have the time.

I love the Yoga and Balance exercises- but I have to admit I had a hard time with the Soccer exercise at first. I kept trying to actually head butt the ball and then figured out that you just need to move from your knees and hips. The balance ball game is tough, though my son nailed it his first try.

Here is something funny: My son is gone for 6 weeks this summer and my daughter was at St. Meinrad’s last week, so they haven’t logged in. In the Wii Fit plaza where you can see all of the Miis-- theirs are asleep! It’s pretty clever. 😃

I am afraid to see my Mii, When DW and the kids play, it always ask if they have seen me. Ha Ha :rotfl:

Everyone has said how fun this is, but has anyone found it useful for actually losing weight?

As long as I use it consistently and at the same time stick to my diet, it’s helped me lose weight.

I have a question. From what I saw on the youtube program on this, most of the people are bare feet. I guess you need it that way for the platform. I have a bad back and need to wear tennis shoes or other shoes that will prevent the shock to my back. I am never bare feet except when getting wet.

So can you where shoes? I would need to wear shoes for the aerobic part or the dance part.

Is this program expensive to buy? It sounds great!

**I am not sure if you can or not. I will look on the balance board after the kids get to bed and let you know.

It was $89 for the Wii Fit game. The Wii itself was $250, I think. Do you have a Wii?**

No, I do not have a Wii. I never even heard of it until I saw this thread. I did go under Target.com and found a lot of things under Wii, so I am confused. I saw Wii play, Wii sport etc. I guess there is different kinds.

i’ve done both, with shoes and without. i don’t think it matters.

Wii Play and Wii Sports are games for the main Wii console. The Wii console is what you need first. Wii Play (or maybe it’s Wii Sports) comes w/ the Wii console. Wii Fit is another game that you buy separately.

Hi!!

We got a Wii Fit about 40 days ago and we’re loving it. It was sort of a Father’s Day gift for DH, who had been wanting one. I am finding that it works great as long as I am consistant about it (like everything else) and also watch what I am eating and drink enough water. I have been touch and go with consistency (hey, I have a 7 week old, a 2 year old, and a 4 year old to watch, too!), but yesterday the boys were at their grandparents’ and the baby was asleep and DH offered to sweep and mop so I could do the Wii Fit, so I did it for over an hour! Wow, am I ever sore this morning. I did all the yoga poses and all the strengh training, plus the boxing and the advanced step a couple times each.

THis morning the only thing I could get up and do was yoga just to stretch my sore muscles out!

Okay, so tonight is the planned date to start back up on this. It has been almost 4 weeks that I have not done it, I am kinda afraid it will yell at me for not being there so long 😛

I haven’t been as consistent as I need, so I’m thinking about erasing my data file and starting over 🤷

I would do that, but I like too many of the unlocked games so I will keep it the way that it is. I guess I look at is if I am accountable for my lack of effort as of late and use it as motivation to improve.

It is sad because if you look back at the start of this thread I was very excited and very motivated to do this, funny how that changed. sometimes life gets in the way, huh?

I stayed away for about that long and my Mii fell asleep on the Wii Fit Plaza. Then it kept asking my husband if he had seen me recently because it was worried about me. Then when I finally came back it yelled a little.

What an amusing toy.

**Yah, DS’s Mii has been asleep on the plaza for quite some time now. I NEED to make him do it, he’s 9 and still young enuf that I can say, “hey turn on the Wii Fit and workout now!!” LOL!!! I am sure mine is too. I haven’t been on in a long time,😊 but have been doing the treadmill at least. 👍 **

DH and I have been trying really hard to find a Wii fit, but they are always sold out everywhere!!! Arrrgh, how frustrating!!

I used my sister’s at her house and it is a blast!!!

I got mine on July 7th. Around where i live most of the electronics stores get trucks on Sat and put the stuff out on Sunday. We called around to different places and asked if they had them, were getting some on their next shipment and how many. My ds works at circuit city and called us and told us they were getting them and I got to the store at 7 am by 7:30 there was more than just us… by 8:30 the store came out and handed out vouchers for as many as they had (7 and 9 people in line) and when the store opened at 10 we walked in and got ours…

I have to say… I love it!!! It has been 10 days now and I have progressively gotten a lower wii fit age (except one day) and I really enjoy the workout. DH and I have missed 2 days each because of other plans but we have been pretty consistent with it. DD has played twice, ds has missed 3 days and step dd played it when she was with us… and actually spent 3 hours trying to beat all the scores before any of us could (she is a video game addict and this is typical of that).

My biggest complaint is that it seems like the standards they use are geared toward Asian people of smaller builds… It told my very skinny dd that she was average and my pretty average son that he is overweight… and step dd is overweight and it classified her as obese *I won’t mention what it told me and dh but I was surprised… I have always been in the slender to average category… but not here…

My SIL hasn’t lost weight but she’s lost inches around her waist and thighs. Seems that she’s gaining muscle which burns more fat…
We have ours but haven’t hooked it up yet. I’m looking forward to it!! 🙂
