Wildfire in California

[Trishie]

In prayer for the people whose homes have been destroyed and for those who have been evacuated in Santa Barbara in California due to the wildfire. In prayer for the two injured firefighters, and for the control of the fire.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now,
and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

Trishie, Simon & all others!

A family I know just had to evacuate along with their whole neighborhood less than an hour ago. Apparently, the Mission Santa Barbara is also in danger as well! Please, Please, Pray!

This fire is not that far from the Mount Calvary Monastery, and has a clear shot to the ocean if firefighters can’t stop it where it is! and, It’s being propelled by STRONG Santa Ana winds!

Thank You!

Your Brother in Christ, Michael

Praying for all involved, including the firefighters:

A FIREFIGHTER’S PRAYER

Almighty God, protector of all,
Your strength, power, and wisdom
are a beacon of light to all:

Give special guidance to firefighters
so that they may be protected from harm
while performing their duty.

Help them with your loving care
while they work to save the lives and property of all people,
young and old.

Give them the courage,
the alertness to protect their neighbors
and all others whom they am pledged to aid
when involved in fire or accident.

Amen.

PRAYER TO ST. ANTHONY
FOR PROTECTION AGAINST DANGER

O Holy St. Anthony,
be our protector and defender.
Ask God to surround us with the Holy Angels,
so that we may emerge from every danger
in the fullness of health and well-being.
Guide our life journey,
so we will always walk safely together with you,
in God’s friendship.

Amen.
