Will and Ariel Durant

Have any of you ever read any of Will Durants books? I have been telling myself for years to read his books–maybe this should be a New Years Resolution.
I found out that just before he died he made a death-bed conversion. I have an e-mail that explains the whole story, but I believe the rules are we can’t post e-mails.

I’ve heard quite a few orthodox Catholic writers recommend Will and Ariel Durant’s work-including H.W. Crocker who wrote Triumph of the Catholic Church. I understand that they handle Christianity and the Church objectively, which means for the most part favorably-just from an historical perspective. They have no axe to grind. I read one or two of their books a long time ago. I was thinking of reading them through myself. A lot of reading!

Didn’t know about his conversion!

I had never heard about his alleged conversion, but I did want to read some of his (and her) history, because it is supposedly good. (I thought he lost his faith, but… I could be wrong.)
