Given his past evasion of the issue, I say no. What say you?
I saw on BBC news that the Pope directly told Pelosi that Catholics cannot support abortion so your question is interesting.
I would be interested in being at the next Mass she attends to see what happens.

The pastoral decision is up to the archbishop. There should be no need for him to do anything.
If Pelosi by her actions is in conflict with the Catholic Church she is obviously not in communion with the Catholic Church and should not approach communion until she is reconciled with the Church. She ought to be able to figure this out by herself.

I believe he is still 'in dialog" with her.

I don’t think their discussions are over. Not to attempt to justify her position or convert the Archbishop, but to allow her the fullest possibility to recant.

The key thing, I’d suggest, will be her future public pronouncements. One more word about, say, a “woman’s right to choose” with respect to killing the unborn is likely to prompt a formal response from the Church through the Archbishop.

Perhaps not just for Nancy? There isn’t a Catholic in public office anywhere in the world who hasn’t been put on notice by this. No photo op; no diplomatic niceties; just a statement documenting a Catechism lesson. Let those who have ears …

Blessings,

Gerry

Indeed. And when she does publicly disagree with churching teaching, you will of course admit the obvious.

A public figure/politician who claims Catholocism as their Faith who is publically in disagreement with the Church in the instance of grave matters, ie. abortion, must make a PUBLIC repudiation of s/his sins. There can be no “Gee, I don’t really know what she believes” and give her the benefit of the doubt. There is no doubt here, she is in jeopardy of losing her soul until she repents.

The Archbishop’s office says there has been no contact with Pelosi in spite of the Archbishop’s offer last summer, six months ago, to dialogue. Pelosi’s office says they have been dialogueing. Who do we believe?
