Obama appears to be anti-Catholic, anti-religious freedom, anti-life, anti-family! I pray he is out!!
Change that to “IS” and you’ve got it right! 👍😃

Even the “least conservative” of the Republican hopefuls is far, far, far better than more of King BarryO!

The biggest fundamental belief of the Catholic Church is the right to life. It starts with bringing people to Jesus, with the hope of obtaining eternal life. This purpose of the Church also extends to our local political areas, and determining the elected officials who will “lead” our country. Whether we choose to vote for someone or not is a personal choice, but the first criteria in any vote should be a canidates stance on life.

I think the ultimate decision comes down to what do you do when you have 2 Pro-Abortion canidates. As Americans, it appears we find ourselves in this situation this election year. A quick google search of “Obama/Romney abortion voting record” has lead me to believe that both men have consistenly legislated for more killing of the unborn. If you truly believe that Romney has had a “life altering” event waking him up to the right to life, then it would appear he should be the only possibility if you believe what the Church teaches. From what I can tell, he “supposedly” has had these types of epiphanies in the past, yet he still continued to not stand up for life after the fact.

There really is no point to mention Obama, but I will. Multiple sources report a 100% Pro-Choice voting record for him at the State and Federal level; his Health Care law is consistent with his previous stance. I personally would rather vote right with God, which is to not vote for either canidate.

Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!

On the whole, I tend to sympathize with your position. However…it seems to me that to not vote for either candidate, i.e. to not vote for president at all or to vote for someone other than Romney or Obama, is pretty much a default (is that the correct word?) vote for Obama. Is that what you want?

Parenthetically and without the intention to derail the thread, why use the term “Pro-Choice”? Those who are supposedly “pro-choice” are really pro-death, the only acceptable “choice” being to abort babies, who of course have no “choice” in the matter. Would not a term such as “Pro-Abortion” or “Pro-Death” but much more accurate?

If people stay away from the polls, or abstain on voting in the presidential election only, then it will send a strong message to the winner. That message is to tread carefully, because the people in the middle diverge from the traditional left-right dichotomy. And if the dissent is strong enough,a third party might become viable. 👍
