Will Half the population eventually become Homosexual if kids learn their lessons well?

The Human Genome Project has been completed and no gene for sexuality has been discovered (no hetero- or homosexual genes). Could this mean that all sexuality is learned at a young age based on societal factors? Could it be that some kids unconsciously chose their same gender attractions at a young age? Could societal pressure to conform to norms be the reason that most people are heterosexual?

More importantly, since some states like Massachusetts are teaching kindergarten kids that homosexual marriage is equal to heterosexual marriage, then wouldn’t it be logical that over the years, ALL bias against homosexuality will eventually be removed from society (assuming there is no yet-to-be discovered inherited cause to make one a heterosexual or heterosexual)? Once all bias against homosexuality has been removed from society, wouldn’t it be logical, due to 50/50 chance that half the population will become homosexual due to random chance? What if kids, who grow up with same-sex friends and public restrooms, start having promiscuous sex at a young age and never give the opposite sex a chance? Clearly, some people become homosexual in the early teen years due to sexual promiscuity or disappointment or rejection in their early relationships with the opposite sex. Will parents’ teachings that homosexuality is inferior to heterosexuality be deemed as child abuse, with kids placed into foster care, if homosexual marriage is passed into federal law as being equal? When considering these questions, it is vitally important to remove any and all existing prejudices against homosexuality from your mind, because these prejudices will not be present in the minds of future generations if they learn what is taught in school, govt., and in the unelected pop culture media.

If your assumptions are right about how people become gay maybe something like this would happen. But your assumptions are not based on anything really. I don’t think you can really teach kids to be gay.
 
I don’t think it’s even remotely possible. Homosexuality can be encouraged, taught, and promoted, but it can’t be indoctrinated so as to replace heterosexuality. It is a mental disease plain and simple. It may be possible for more people to engage in homosexual behavior because it is so accepted, but that doesn’t make them true homosexuals.

Mental disease? In what sense?

And how is this disease spread?

Virus? Bacteria?

Or is it not contageous? Radiation? Radio or TV waves? Cell phones?
 
While there is not “gay gene” there is also not a “left-handed gene” there is however strong correlation between certain birth conditions and homosexuality much like with left-handed people. It is possible that the numbers could increase slightly as part of social acceptance, but no where near that much. Lefties are more common now because they aren’t forced to use their right hands anymore, but they are still only 10% of the population.
 
Remember, God created them man and woman. Culture can’t change basic nature - if not imprinted genetically, its imprinted on the soul. We’ll be dealing with ordinary promiscuity for a long time coming though, which I must point out, is just as sinful as homosexual promiscuity.

Just because there is no gay gene doesn’t mean a homosexual orientation is chosen. Watch the following video:

I have studies homosexuality quite a bit, and have never seen a case in which someone’s genuine sexual orientation (homosexual or heterosexual) is chosen.

If you were raised in a society where homosexuality was considered equally acceptable when compared with heterosexuality, would you be homosexual?

If you were raised in a society where homosexuality was considered superior to heterosexuality, would you be homosexual?

And I do mean you personally; was your heterosexuality ever your conscious choice?

Well,wise cracks aside…no God does not make mistakes! In prison ,sure there are acts of physical sex since no women are allowed in the mens section but this is not true homosexuality! From all of the years …working out in gyms,teaching,military,I have never found one fellow who had a mommy and daddy at home,both loving him,that he became only later sexually attracted to other males!.Of course if the daddy is missing or worse,a red sox fan,the little boy loves his mommy a lot.then from K thru 8th grade all he gets are more female role models to also love…since the vast majority of us ,when we hit frosh time fall for opposites…then thats proof right there is not inherent but a learned response! will it become a crime to oppose such ,sure,it already is a crime to defend ones Christian beliefs…we are called :rascists,haters,mean spirited etc etc…while they are the tolerant ones…as in the recent mosque bit in the big apple. the ruling class of course will reman hetro…for they must reproduce their own kind while we peasants can get out thrill by ‘fisting’ each other to the emergency ward. Gee,they got that baseball pitcher for lying to a jury on steriods…all Roger had was two pitches,one tossed just behind the batters head,and the next one low and outside…that way the shookened batter swings at it to just get outta there.and dribbles a feeble grounder to second and out…and out…by…
 
They have yet to find the gene. That does not mean that such a gene does not exist; do you have any idea how many genes are in the body?
