Blessings to you James, I certainly agree with you wholeheartedly. The funeral home has a responsibility to consider the religious beliefs of the family who are paying for the funeral as well as the persons in mourning to respect all protocols of faith. The action I took which was also effective was to report the violation to Father Bill at Saint Marks in Shakopee, Mn who said he would get the word out to all our Diocese to refuse referrals to this funeral home and further to question any requests for funerals taking place at this home so that they are identified and recorded in the Diocese as anti-Catholic so that any future burials will be diverted to a pro-Catholic funeral home. The funeral home in question currently is losing business anyway from their poor management so it seems to me that Divine Providence is having His effect. As Saint Paul mentioned in his Gospels, “Take care to leave room for the wrath of God” which I take it to mean that God Himself will induce justice with those who dare to oppose His Holy Will which of course is a matter of fact and does not require any speculation on my part. We did bury my brother and his wife according to the Sacramental Rites of the Catholic Church and finished praying the Rosary at the grave site. Thanks for your understanding, support and encouraging faith response.I suspect this is a violation of law. But how ironic for them to be all too happy to take a Catholic’s money and help them get their loved ones properly interned so they can get on with thier time in hell huh?
If I ever ran across a place like this I’d go create a website and get the information out on them with copies of all documenting evidence (emails, voice messages, letters, photos of business and faces of management etc.). Then I’d make sure they got an invitation in the mail to come visit the site to see what their customers and your many family and friends are writing about their bigoted and hypocritical attitudes on the blog and how google is picking it all up for the whole world to see.
I just bet that you could get them to offer to “bury” the hatchet and buy out the web site from you and become more flexible in their policies - who know even convert.
People like this need to be exposed for the two-faced hippocrites that they are.
