Will mentally challenged people still be mentally challenged in Heaven?

I don’t think they will:

He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away. (Revelation 21:4)

Maybe mental illness and mentally challenges will signify a greater degree of holiness.

I would say no, just based on my own personal opinion. We are all considered mentally handicapped when we are put up against the intellect of God and the Angels and I would assume God will allow all in heaven to comprehend his divine nature and plan in a way we currently can not.

Many people mentally deteriorate in the old age, other people vice versa-they even grow like a flowers in intellect and wisdom.
(many writers, thinkers, public figures… )
There are people who are publicly considered mentally ill in totalitarian states, but in reality they are the wisest and boldest.
Some old testament prophets were considered as possessed, but they were the saints who were inspired by Holy Spirit.
Some people are mentally challenged temporary, despite the diagnoses of imperfect science of psychiatry.
In the new world there will be no consequences of sin, nor past physical inferiorities.

Why would God leave you mentally challenged in Heaven? God doesn’t have to do that, and you obviously would prefer not to be mentally challenged. Wouldn’t God grant your wish?

It’s nothing to do with a wish…

We’ll have minds and bodies akin to Jesus’
  1. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain , for the old order of things has passed away.”

I’m mentally ill. I was told that all of my infirmities will be healed when I go to Heaven.

I also have a physical disability.

I long for the day when I get to see my Saviour in Heaven.

Yes, but God’s ways are not our ways. And it is His opinion that counts.
