Will my divorce prevent me from entering the Church and marrying a Catholic?

I am a divorced non-Catholic with a son. Can I become a Catholic and re-marry in a Catholic Church to another Catholic?
 
Your divorce is not an obstacle to becoming a Catholic however the Church presumes that you are still married as civil divorce does not dissolve a valid marriage. If you wish to attempt marriage again you must first have the Church look into your existing marriage to determine whether or not it is valid. If it is not, then you should be free to attempt marriage again.
