Will my Protestant wedding keep me from Communion as a Catholic?

I am beginning in RCIA; my wife will not be joining me but will remain a faithful member in her Baptist church (where we were married). This is her first marriage, my second( my first wife passed away). At my initial RCIA meeting, one of the instructor’s asked the other if I would be able to partake in Communion since my wife and I were not married in the Catholic Church. We were married in my former Baptist church by our pastor. When I am received into the Church, do you see a problem with me also receiving Communion?

This something the RCIA instructors should readily know. The Catholic Church recognizes the validity and sacramentality of weddings between Protestants. So you may receive the Eucharist when you are received into the Catholic Church. You are in our prayers.
