Wouldn’t it be great if Pope Benedict xvi said a simple TL High Mass on his visit to the U.S.

Lets send him an e-mail expressing our hope that he will do it. It would blow the Cardinal’s and Bishop’s minds if he did.

Yes, it would be great.

No, not a chance he’ll do it.

But expect very reverent NO masses fully in accord with all the rubrics.

The pope will be on a pretty tight schedule when he gets here in the US, I wouldn’t think he’d be able to fit a Latin mass.

But if you have a Latin mass community that would be willing to host it, and the church is sufficiently secure, I certainly encourage you to email his people to see if it could be done. Popes have visited relatively small groups before on their foreign trips before.

The Holy Father is a very humble man. He isn’t going to do anything to “blow the Cardinals’ and Bishops’ minds.” He might do it as a pastoral action, to show good will and solidarity towards those who love the Traditional Latin Mass.
