From the little I have heard about him, I would think he will encourage Priests and Laity to go out and serve God’s people, wherever they are. Although he is a Jesuit, he has more of a Franciscan “glow” about him…from the little I have heard.

I think he needs help from the world governments, but he may be just the person to get the ball rolling.

From my perspective, the world governments are the LAST organizations that the Pope should be looking towards for assistance. They come with too much secular baggage.
The ideal would be for Catholics to tithe more and to take more direct responsibility for material charity.

I sure hope so. It is about time we got back to the basics of Christianity. And let’s not forget the 3rd and 4th worlds within rich countries.

It is my fervent hope and prayer that. is so. Pope Francis has a preferential love for the poor and more of a pastoral approach.
It is my personal opinion that after the last two Holy Fathers that the church one again approach the centre.

Pope Francis will evangelize both the Third-World and the Developed World with Catholic faith, teachings, and morals. Hopefully Pope Francis will address the rot within the Catholic Church within the United States, such as our New Age nuns.

Given that the U.S. and Europe are also headed for Third World status, I think he will find plenty of opportunity to direct the Church’s efforts toward all of us.

It refers to the tribal nations within nation states – people we are hardly aware of, who often get shafted. It’s like we’re elephants stepping on ants – unaware of those we are crushing.

How about simply teach the faith, which is neither center, right or left per se. It is just Catholic teaching. Care for the poor (both monetary and spiritual support), evangelizing the faith (reclaiming lost Catholics and bringing in new ones), spreading Catholic social and moral teachings (making the holy, selfless man-woman family unit the centerpiece of society and deemphasizing the contraceptive mentality/emphasizing the right to life), increase in prayer life vital to everything else), and more.

I’m at least partially aware of how bad it is. Tribes need to be able to prosecute crimes by outsiders on tribal land, the way it is now is beyond tragic, it is an atrocity.
