Will sacramentals lose their power?

I have a plaque on the wall of my bedroom
of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and it reads
“I will bless the houses in which this picture
of my sacred heart is exposed and honored.”
Now I have been watching sexually inappro-
priate material and doing things which are
sinful in sight of it, do I need to confess it
or ask the priest to bless it or sprinkle holy
water on it(which I have already done)
in order for it’s promise to be fulfilled??
 
Confess your sins, but I don’t think doing what you did in the presence of holy images makes it more sinful no, nor can it take away the blessings bestowed on the object.

sacramental don’t have “power” per see. the promise is more about honour and devotion. two people could have the picture in their house for very different reasons. and someone could still be blessed even if they didn’t have the picture.

don’t treat it superstitiously. confess and deal with your sins accordingly but don’t attribute to cursing the picture or anything like that
