There’s not a lot been written, so I’m not surprised that you couldn’t find anything.

Here is something by the Venerable Bishop Fulton J. Sheen you might find interesting:

The Website is kind of a mess aesthetically as most are, but those are Sheen’s words.
Thanks for the link. Very interesting commentary.
Have you read that book I recommended?
The book was given to me by a dear friend before she passed away. I have never seen a more thorough compilation of writings yet it still left me confused as to actually if it was referring to a man.

No, I’m sorry, I’ve not read that book. It does sound interesting. Thank you for mentioning it.

I respect your opinion, but I cannot share it, and, in my opinion, it is at odds with the teaching of the Church in the Catechism:
  • 675 Before Christ’s second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers.574 The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth575 will unveil the “mystery of iniquity” in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh.576 *
Apparently, if the Catholic Church is teaching the truth, the faith of many believers will be shaken, and the Church will be persecuted. I tend to believe the Church is correct.
I agree but those paragraphs are vague because almost every generation since the resurrection could be identified as fulfilling those criteria.
John said there were AntiChrists
around when he was still alive in the first century.

True, the Catechism doesn’t say when, but no one knows when. And yes, I do agree, John did say that. However, it doesn’t seem to me that the Church has passed through a final trial in which the faith of many believers was or has been tested.
