Do you think it’s safe, then, to say that although He died, it was through His resurrection that the ‘gates of hell’ did not prevail against Jesus and that by her resurrection likewise, that same promise could be fulfilled for the Church?
Because, if that were the case, then there could be no contradiction in thinking/believing that although the Church may die on earth, Jesus’ promise that the ‘gates of hell’ would not prevail against her could still be kept intact by virtue of the fact that He would most certainly raise her up in her own resurrection prior to His second coming as the Catechism says.
