Will the west come under Islamic Sharia Law

The 9/11 mosque webpage is now being scrubbed of its links…Patel is an Muslim advisor from Chicago who advised the imam that America is a good place for Islamic renewal…

Again, you have to consider the source. Their values oppose the American constitution. They do not want Christianity or Judaism…but Islamic rule with Sharia…as the imam wants.

And they are considering funds from Iran and Saudi Arabia which either totally downright deny any rights to Christians or severely restrict them.

The issue is no reciprocity.
The fact that religious minorities in Iran and Saudi Arabia are treated poorly is no good reason for us to mistreat our religious minorities.
And you have to check out the source…and they are in process of removing information about who they really are.
Militant Islam has declared war on our country. We have our 5th column. The effects of Marxism are everywhere…most young people now want nothing to do with religion as all they have heard is how religion caused the most wars. They have been given a steady diet as well of anti-Catholicism, which started wars and the Crusades…no context.
My father lived next door to the American communist who started the Pennsylvania mine riots in the late 60’s. My father was in the seminary for two years and worked among the poor. My mother would babysit their daughter and would visit with them. My father was very civil and listened to and affirmed the good intentions of this man, while the FBI watched his goings about.
I lived in a country that went Marxist. Instead of writing about the celebration of their independence, the headlines stated that America is the Enemy of the World…the world has been fed on that without context.
And the imam in 2001 only said we had it coming considering the millions of death America has caused around the world with no comment to the millions slaughtered under communism, and the fact of life that Islam will not allow freedom of religion which is against our constitution.
Sorry, this group is phony.
I disagree. They’ve been worshipping in the downtown area for years. They are part of the fabric of life downtown, like it or not.
Over and over the American people are being put to the side. It is now coming out that close to 80 members in Congress are socialists…and now the author is a former felon and socialist and author of the health bill put out by our president…he refuses to allow his cabinet to be vetted by Congress. He refuses to allow open access to his scholastic history. He is the most pro abortion president in our history. He does not have empathy for our people.
Our clerics are watching the leadership of this country very closely in regards to our religious rights and freedom to practice our conscience. There have been some blogs shut down for revealing truths about the identity and intentions of massive pages of work Congress voted on without reading…who are the people putting these bills together?
I think you and I have a different definition of what constitutes a socialist.

Have a nice day, Kathleen! And be not afraid.

Exactly. So let’s not follow their example.
Freedom of religion is not an absolute. If a religion that calls for human sacrifice started in this country would it be allowed? Here’s food for thought:

Omar Ahmed, chairman of the supposedly moderate Council on American-Islamic Relations, reportedly told a group of California Muslims in 1998, **“Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran…should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth.”
**

Saudi cleric Muhammad Al-Arifi stated on Egypt’s Al-Rhama TV on July 19, 2010:

“Devotion to Jihad for the sake of Allah, and the desire to shed blood, to smash skulls, and to sever limbs for the sake of Allah and in defense of His religion, is, undoubtedly, an honor for the believer. … The Quranic verses that deal with fighting the infidels and conquering their countries say that they should convert to Islam, pay the jizya poll tax, or be killed. If the Muslims had implemented this, we would not have reached the humiliation in which we find ourselves today.”

Thanks, Booklover, I remember that quote.

Now to find out it is ‘tolerant’ imam. I have to find the video in Florida of the Muslims ‘coming out’ and more, more demands…

It is a lawful right to defend one’s country.

And when I consider socialism, the vision that I have is one that does not abide by just wages and the development of the individual.

A person works very hard to go to the university…how many years to become a doctor or lawyer, but when he has work, his wages are about the same as though who have not worked as hard as he to get the skills for his profession.

There is no incentive to achieve…I think of China and Russia who executed the thinking class of people…the Seattle Times wrote after 1984, don’t have the actual date, that it was already set up in the Soviet Union to commit a pogrom in the USA if they were to take over…and besides the intelligencia and others, it would target orthodox, meaning, devout Catholics for extermination.

I believe in a humane society that provides healthcare…but there is so much corruption and complexity…the entire infrastructure – education, law, some aspects of healthcare and their associates, and the preservation of the private sector to create revenue or be a moral voice–needs to be revamped.

Any way, in a totalitarian world, I would not last.

And this imam should be deported…people like him are making America simply a money making machine for people to come in do their will and to hell with our people. Pope Benedict said the immigrants are to respect their host country. He is all about himself and his wants and what he wants to impose.

Ask the imam and see what he will do to allow the building of churches in the Middle East.

It’s not an absolute right, but it is – or should be – a first principle for living in a free society. Until recently I thought (naively?) that it was one of our most cherished principles.

I know there are scary sects and movements within Islam – look at the Taliban for example. But nothing I have seen or heard about the Muslims who want to build the mosque downtown suggests that they are fundamentalists or in any way a danger to anyone.

Have you seen his youtube videos… the man is a lunatic… nut job…

There is no way sharia law will ever be allowed to take hold in Australia. In the past we have had problems with muslims, it led to an outcry. For eg, when some innocent lifesavers were bashed up by muslims in Sydney a few years ago, the result was mass protests against them, there was riots on the beach where it happened& basically anyone of middle eastern decent went near cronulla beach, they were targeted. I personally don’t condone the attacks etc, but the protest was needed. There was also a part of Sydney that wanted to open up a large Islamic school, thousand protested and as a result, the school will not be built. Australia doesn’t take things like this lightly. If anything, it’s a good way to keep this idea at bay, if anyone even hinted that oz should become sharia, God help that person

How are these triumphalist Islamic statements different from the kind of thing one can read from posters on CAF any day? How are they any more ‘real’ than calls for the establishment of Catholic theocracies, Catholic monarchies and so on?

Is the argument that there are a billion Muslims breeding like mad and arming themselves to force Shariah on the world?

My guess is that most of them take this sort of stuff as seriously as most Catholics on CAF (never mind the other billion or whatever) take calls for Catholic theocracy.

Even if it called for violence against others? Islam isn’t just a religion, it’s also a supremacist political ideology.

There’s been plenty of talk about Rauf lately and nothing that I’ve heard makes him sound like a peaceful Muslim.

washingtontimes.com/news/2010/aug/5/radical-islams-conquest-of-america/

"The imam spearheading the initiative, Feisal Abdul Rauf, is an unrepentant militant Muslim, an Islamist fellow traveler. He has said publicly that “United States policies were an accessory” to the Sept. 11 attacks. In other words, in his view, we brought the atrocities upon ourselves. He is a defender of Hamas, justifying the mass murder of innocent Jews (and Palestinians). He has called for the introduction of Shariah law courts in America. In short, he openly seeks the Islamization of America.

Mr. Rauf is a typical Islamist hypocrite: He uses the U.S. Constitution to demand the exercise of religious freedom while advocating for Shariah law, which fuses church and state and seeks to subjugate non-Muslims. Islamists are using our freedoms in an effort to destroy our freedoms."

You’re painting with an awfully broad brush.

That article is a hatchet job that doesn’t even try to be objective.

Am I, really?
Yes. Out of the complex reality of the religion you accept only what conforms to your crude stereotype. So you either don’t know or don’t care that jihad means different things to different people.

Bump ~ can someone answer my scenario.
**Let’s all assume that sharia law is passed in the US for the muslims. **

They’ll have their own courts and decisions from their imams/clerics will be passed according to sharia laws.

So, here is the scenerio for the US.

A mumslim man accusses his wife for being unfaithful & files adultery charges against her.

The 4 witness concur the wife was unfaithful & indeed she did have an affair.

Under their sharia, she must be executed via stoning or perhpas hanging, but she must receive her bazzilion lashes first.

Is this what we will be witnessing here in the US…???

Another scenario for us here in the States…

A muslim man steals from a muslim shop owner…

Under sharia, this “thief” must lose a hand… chop…

Is this what we will be witnessing here in the US…???

Yes. Out of the complex reality of the religion you accept only what conforms to your crude stereotype. So you either don’t know or don’t care that jihad means different things to different people.
You also refuse to see the atrocities and persecutions that are being perpetrated in the name of Islam on a daily basis. You ignore what you don’t want to see!

I do care about the atrocities. I was very sad to read last month about the persecution of Ahmadi Muslims in Pakistan for example. But I can distinguish between fanatics and “normal” practitioners of a religion. I do that in the case of Christianity, why shouldn’t I do that in the case of Islam?

What about the persecution of Christians and other minorities? They don’t count apparently
