Will There Always Be a Pope?

I’m just wondering if it’s guaranteed that there will always be a Pope. Sorry if this is the wrong section, I wasn’t really sure where to put this.

Logically there is always time between the former pope and the next in which there is no one in the position.

But as long as the church is on earth, there is always going to be a next.
