Will there be material objects in heaven?

Someone told me there will be. Which I suppose makes sense, since Mary, Jesus, Enoch, and Elijah still have their bodies. Right? Or am I wrong? Is there an official Church teaching?
The fact is. Your guess is as good as mines. We don’t know for sure. Noone does.

Sure there will be material objects in heaven–us, for starters. We are material objects, and we do hope to get there. There will also be immaterial objects, like angels. And there will be composite objects–again, us–composed of both matter and spirit.

And all of those who have washed their robes “in the blood of the Lamb” will enjoy the heavenly banquet. Our communion with God in the Eucharist is a foretaste of the heavenly banquet. Also, recall that Jesus ate some fish after His Resurrection and told the apostles that He wasn’t a ghost. 🙂

Good point. I think that by having something to eat in his post resurrection appearances, he did intend to demonstrate that he was still the same person and not a phantasm or a ghost or only a spirit or a vision.
