Will we be living in a physical world in the World to Come?

Christ was able to walk through a locked door with His resurrected, glorified body, but the Apostles were able to see, touch and feel Him. Moreover, Revelations does not directly specify whether the new earth will be physical. Does the CCC shed light on this subject?
 
We confess a bodily resurrection (1 Corinthians 15 and the Apostles Creed) so it is necessary that there be a physical heaven and earth.

We actually believe in a glorified body, but the question is whether this glorified body will be physical.

So, in him, “all of them will rise again with their own bodies which they now bear,” but Christ “will change our lowly body to be like his glorious body,” into a “spiritual body”:552

But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body do they come?” You foolish man! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. and what you sow is not the body which is to be, but a bare kernel …What is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable… the dead will be raised imperishable… For this perishable nature must put on the imperishable, and this mortal nature must put on immortality.553

1016 By death the soul is separated from the body, but in the resurrection God will give incorruptible life to our body, transformed by reunion with our soul. Just as Christ is risen and lives for ever, so all of us will rise at the last day.

1017 “We believe in the true resurrection of this flesh that we now possess” (Council of Lyons II: DS 854). We sow a corruptible body in the tomb, but he raises up an incorruptible body, a “spiritual body” (cf ⇒ 1 Cor 15:42-44).

St. Paul, in one of his letters, says that we do not know what we will become. What we believe is that this nature, that we know possess, will be made perfect, as it once was.

The Catechism does not say that the world to come will be physical however it does say that we will be united after the general judgement with our glorified physical bodies, so it is safe to assume that the world to come has a physical element to it because humans are not just spiritual beings.

Read 1Cor 15:42-44, and let me know if you still think that our glorified bodies will be physical.

Where does the CCC infer that our glorified bodies will be physical?

Whose to say that we will still be human in the World to Come?
 
I think it will be a world that is like the Garden of Eden before the fall. A beautiful paradise with no pollution, no ugly graffiti, and no sin.

The glorified body is not pure spirit, otherwise it wouldn’t be a body. What else would a body be if not physical? St. Paul compares the resurrection to a seed growing into a plant. A physical seed doesn’t grow into a non-physical plant. The first question to ask is what is the alternative to a physical body?

As for the CCC, it professes “a true resurrection of this flesh which we now possess.” This flesh that we now possess is physical so it follows that the resurrected body is physical.
 
Apparently we will be able to eat broiled fish with no problem. I wonder if we will have to eat because we will need food and will be hungry without it, and if we will have to brush our teeth and all the other, uh, other activities that follow eating.

I know this is all speculation at this present time.
