Will we be reunited with loved ones in Heaven?

A participant in my Bible study group posed a question to which I could not provide an answer from scripture. " Will we be reunited with loved ones and friends in Heaven? And will we recognize each other, or are we all to gloried or perfected in such a way that we are indistinguishable in our recreated beings?" For instance; Will he recognize and be reunited with his late wife?
