To survive religion we must struggle harder to Christianize the world. God wants humanity unified under Christ. Any Christian who disagrees is misguided, IMO. How can we say there is no salvation outside of the Church, and yet not want to evangelize to spread the Church? 👍
Would you be willing to die fighting for the Christainization of the world?

Yes, but only if we are prepared to once again fight for ours. We won’t, if we fail to muster the will. Man’s ‘survival’ of religion will not be secured by way our abandonment of Christianity, in order to set some sort of ‘example’. Christianity is not unconditional pacifism.
Wasn’t Jesus unconditional pacifism?

But to keep their beliefs going, they’d have to adopt children instead of making their own. Is it really so bad to adopt a child that has nothing and who is living in a orphanage?
They wouldn’t have to adopt to keep their beliefs going.

Just as modern leftists abort and contracept themselves out of existence, they don’t have to adopt children to keep their beliefs going.

No. They infiltrate positions of power in society and indoctrinate other people’s kids, like they do in pubic (misspelling intentional) schools.

Just like we hear about how abortion is a woman’s right, on left wing dominated media. Nope. They are not adopting their own children, they’re trying to indoctrinate ours.

Look at what the leftists are doing today. Those nutjobs did the same before.

Proof please.
Let’s put this to the test.

Is Christianity allowed on government property?
Is Judaism allowed on government property?
Is any theistic religion allowed on government property?

The answer to all of the above is “NO”

Thus, the only religion left is atheism, and that is allowed on government property. Because it is the official government religion, and thou shalt not have any religion other than theirs.

There is no religion left. Which is as it should be; government should not prefer one system of theological belief – including atheism – over another. You’ll notice there aren’t any bronze busts of Madalyn Murray O’Hair in there either.

Atheism has been the official ‘religion’ of nations in the past and present: the USSR, Cuba, etc. This is not the same thing as the government separating itself from the establishment of religion.

Is there a passage where Jesus leads his people into war? Or where he fights the Romans? Or where he fights unbelievers?
There are plenty of examples in the Old and New Testament where war and self defense are advocated.

There are a few gaping flaws in that plan by the way. First off, these “nutjobs” as you would call them, still have children of their own, The Albeginsians didn’t. Second, There are many reasons why people choose Liberal over Conservatism, and it’s not because we’re brainwashing your kids. Sometimes it’s just a difference of opinion that divides the line. Hate to break it to you, but your position on the political spectrum does not equate to religious beliefs (though some really screwed up people have confused the two.) Also, just because they believe abortion should be there as an option, they do not equate that with necessity. I’ve never seen someone’s house blown up because she refuses to get an abortion, I’ve only ever seen abortion centers blown up.

Ten commandments in courthouses, pledging to the flag you must say “under god”.
What you stated was your opinion, not a fact. I want you to show my in a government document that atheism is our national religion.

The origional question was “will we survive religion?”

If you really think about it, the answer would have to be no.

Our religion tells us that the world will end with the final judgement of God. So, if you are a Christian, then no, you will not survive religion. At least not in the physical sense.

There are plenty of examples in the Old and New Testament where war and self defense are advocated.
THat’s nice. It doesn’t address my assertion that Jesus was an unconditional pacificst, however.

I want you to show my in a government document that atheism is our national religion.
There is no such document.

That’s why when courts are trying to impose Atheism as the official government religion, I rightly object.

A truly secular government is NEUTRAL toward all religions (including Atheism) not imposing one religion at the expense of all others.

Sorry, none of this “only atheism is allowed on government property” nonsense. That’s unconstitutional.

There is no religion left.
Nope. Atheism is nice and safe according to the rules I’ve seen handed down by courts.

I’ve yet to see Atheism kicked out of government property. If there is, please show me the court rulings.

There is no such document.
Then why try to claim the US is officially atheist?
That’s why when courts are trying to impose Atheism as the official government religion, I rightly object.
Government should be and is agnostic towards religion in general, and that includes atheism. Your god or gods or spirit of nihilism are none of the President’s business.

An agnostic government may appear atheist to you, since they won’t let you display your holy commandments on their walls, but they don’t let atheists put up billboards saying ‘YOUR GOD IS DEAD!’ or ‘THERE IS NO GOD’ in courthouses either.
I’ve yet to see Atheism kicked out of government property. If there is, please show me the court rulings.
I’ve yet to see atheism present on government property. If it’s there, please show me where, when, and how. Thanks.

Then why try to claim the US is officially atheist?
Because that’s what the courts are doing.
Government should be and is agnostic towards religion in general, and that includes atheism. Your god or gods or spirit of nihilism are none of the President’s business.
Actually government is to be NEUTRAL toward all religions.
An agnostic government may appear atheist to you, since they won’t let you display your holy commandments on their walls, but they don’t let atheists put up billboards saying ‘YOUR GOD IS DEAD!’ or ‘THERE IS NO GOD’ in courthouses either.
Prove it. Show me a court ruling that says this.

C’mon.

Just one.

One court ruling that says Atheism is not allowed on government property.
I’ve yet to see atheism present on government property. If it’s there, please show me where, when, and how. Thanks.
Actually it is. When government is required to NOT acknowledge the Creator’s existence, that’s something known as weak atheism.

So, show me one court ruling that says atheism is not allowed on government property.

Just one.

I see, so you want Agnosticism to be the State’s official religion then?

There goes true secularism, right down the drain.

Actually government is to be NEUTRAL toward all religions.
I meant agnostic in its original sense: ‘not knowing’, and by extension, without any vested interest towards one faith or another.
Prove it. Show me a court ruling that says this.

I don’t even have to go that far. The Declaration of Independence acknowledges God in the first paragraph, and ‘In God We Trust’ is printed on all our money, or have you forgotten? That’s a pretty stirring denial of atheism in government. It’s just not enough for you – you want the freedom to move in on government with your religion. The US was established for freedom of and from religion, not to become a theocratic monarchy as soon as some people decided everyone should practice one particular faith.

I have yet to hear of a high government official who is an atheist. I’ve heard of plenty who are Christian or Jewish, and with the addition of Keith Ellison, one Muslim. All these people acknowledge the Abrahamic God, and these people are our government. Legislating your personal moral beliefs is not their job.
I see, so you want Agnosticism to be the State’s official religion then?
Agnosticism is not a religion, it’s a gigantic shrug at religion. It is true secularity, because all it has to say is ‘we don’t know, and we’re not even sure we care’. And it happens to be the State’s official stance, has been since the founding of the country, and won’t change without a complete rewrite of the Constitution. If you don’t like it, feel free to move back to the Vatican.

I meant agnostic in its original sense: ‘not knowing’, and by extension, without any vested interest towards one faith or another.
In other words neutral toward all religions, not “only atheism, agnosticism and maybe secular humanism are allowed while others are forbidden”

Unfortunately, this has been overruled by court cases which basically outlaw theism in any shape way or form on government property. You really need more up to date documents.
It’s just not enough for you – you want the freedom to move in on government with your religion. The US was established for freedom of and from religion, not to become a theocratic monarchy as soon as some people decided everyone should practice one particular faith.
But that’s the thing: We have judges trying to forbid anyone from even mentioning Jesus’ name or get tossed in jail. People are fired for just saying the G-word. We’re not talking about people trying to forcefully convert using government power. We’re talking basic freedom of speech being stepped on if someone dares to posit a theistic viewpoint.

This is 100% equivalent to ATHEISM IS THE OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT RELIGION.

And where is freedom FROM religion in the constitution? If someone is not a theist, they’re practicing another religion: Atheism or Agnosticism. Humans, if they’re not worshipping the supernatural, will worship the natural (like mirrors, for example, as many politicians and celebrities do)

“If there is no God, therefore I am a god” - that’s the logical conclusion.
Legislating your personal moral beliefs is not their job.
So where do they get off outlawing murder, rape, child molesting, sexual harassment, and the like? All that moralizing needs to be away from government, right? 🙂
Agnosticism is not a religion, it’s a gigantic shrug at religion.
Agnosticism is a religion. Its theology is that 1) God’s existence cannot be known and 2) there is no way to know which religion (including atheism) is right and 3) There is no way to know if there is an afterlife.

Theology? Check.

Quack. What a nice duck.

Now, show me ONE COURT RULING that PROHIBITS ATHEISM, or AGNOSTICISM or SECULAR HUMANISM on government property.

I guess only certain religions are permitted on government property, eh?
