Despite rejecting the Roman Catholic church and all that it teaches, I know without a doubt that I am saved. Not because of anything that I have done or any ritual that I have followed, but solely because of Christ’s atoning death on my behalf.
Then you are going to Hell because if reject all that the Catholic Church teaches you reject that Christ died for your sins.

Being a good Catholic will not save you.

Would you like to know with certainty that you are saved?
Oh, this ought to be good, what?

your not Catholic by the sounds of it? I live my life for Jesus Christ, and I adhere to His teachings, and I believe in the One True
Church, the Catholic church. I still say it is up to Him who decides who makes it and doesn’t. I put my trust in Him. I leave everything up to Him. That includes my eternal life. I live my life the best way I can.
I try not to miss Mass, I go to confession, and I respect all life.
I live as a Christian Catholic. I say my Holy Rosary devoutly, I help my fellow man. I love God the Father with my whole heart, my whole soul, and my whole mind. I cannot determine if I live or not forever.
Jesus decides, not me.

No, Jesus has assured us that if we believe, by faith, that He paid the atonement on our behalf, if we confess with our mouths and believe in our hearts that He is Lord, we will be saved.

He taught nothing about joining a religious organization that contradicts His teachings for salvation.

No. I am a saved, sealed, and delivered Southern Baptist.

You said

The Catholic Church teaches that Christ died for your sins. You say you reject all that the Catholic Church teaches so you must reject that Christ died for your sins. If that is the case, you are going to hell.

The Catholic Church is the One True Church. I do believe, have you not read my post? What were Jesus’s words to Saint Peter? Do you
recall? What did He say to Peter?

Quote:
“Those things don’t save you”

Who are you to determine my fate? Your not Christ, so do not attempt to determine my fate. Get thee hence.

The problem is that Roman Catholicism teaches that the only way to appropriate this forgiveness is by following them and participating in their rituals.

I know without a shadow of a doubt that I am saved, even though I reject the Roman Catholic church, it’s rituals, and the authority of the pope, because I am confident in the person, claims, and work of my Savior.

Your profound ignorance of The Holy Catholic Church is manifested in this one sentence Mr. Baptist. 😦

That is not true. That is not what the Catholic Church teaches.

I’m not. I’m simply telling you what the Bible says.
Your not Christ, so do not attempt to determine my fate. Get thee hence.
No, I’m not Christ but I can read what Christ said. Simply proclaiming God’s word is not “determining your fate”.

If I’m ignorant of the Roman Catholic church, then the Roman Catholic church has no one to blame but the Roman Catholic church.

After all, it was their schools and their churches and their CCD programs that taught me.

I live by the Word of God, everyday in my life. I follow what Jesus
teaches. The Catholic Church is the one True Church, and there is NO changing that fact. The pope is Christ’s vicar on earth. That is also a fact. Whether I live or die is not up to me. I put my trust in Jesus, and if He wants me to live forver I will. I will do everything in my ability to ensure that I live a life pleasing to Him.

If a person does not hear the truth of Christ even if it is presented to him, is it the fault of the man told the truth or the man who failed to open his ears, mind and heart?

I see. So then, you reject the idea of extra ecclesiam nulla salus?

No, this is not true. The pope is just a sinful man, the same as any of us.

Did you know that the Bible says that you can know for sure that you are saved?

Learning is a 2 way street. The teachers taught you. You, apparently, absorbed nothing of value or truth.
Why are you here?
Do you wish to learn what The Catholic Church is *really *about?
Or are you here to preach heresy?
If you wish to discuss a particular point, we will be glad to accommodate you.
If you’ve come here to preach to us: goodbye to you.

Heresy, by the sounds of it. Also blashpemy. I will not idly sit by and listen to someone knock down our belief, or the pope.

Unlike you, I was not blessed with a Catholic education and do not know Latin.

But I would guess what you wrote is outside of the Church, there is no salvation?

Those who through no fault of their own, do not know the truth of the Catholic Church, know that Christ not only died for their sins but established the One true Church which is the pillar and foundation of truth. These separated Brethren may still be part of God’s family.

There are many analogies to get into in this, the easiest to understand is that you don’t have to actually be awake or know the emergency room doctor for him to save you. In the same way, you don’t have to be an “official” member of the Catholic Church in order to be part of the that Church, part of the body, if through no fault of your own, you did not know that the Catholic Church was the One True Church.

Does this apply to you since you were educated in the teachings of Christ in the Catholic Church? Do you really want to bet your soul on this? Maybe you should look into as an adult what the Catholic Church actually teaches.
