Wine

Can you give me the meaning of the word
“Wine” as it occures in the original text of the Bible
(Aramic/Greek) especially when the word Wine
occures in the text of the Wedding of Cana & at
the Last Supper. I’d like to know if wine refers to
grape juice or alcholic drink…Thank you.

I am rather amazed at this interest in wine. I answered a similar question here on June 3 and already 315 people have chosen to read the answer. The question as to whether on not wine was used in biblical times is rather moot since there was no way to prevent grape juice from fermenting—especially in those hot climates. The grape juice with which we are familiar was only made possible in the 20th century.
