CONGRATS – for “coming home”, as a new catholic I would gladly pray for & support anyone “thinking” about or actually getting into RCIA.

there’s so much involved that I’m still studying & will continue to do so.throw in a thread any time & people “in the know” will respond.

don’t worry about friends or family acceptence, family will still LOVE, & there’s plenty of new friends to be made

BEST OF WISHES & PRAYERS

May God Bless you all on your journey! I am a convert as well, RCIA was very rewarding for me and I wish you all the same rewards. Congratulations and Welcome home!

much love,
Jamie

Hi Jody and all RCIA’ers!

Wonderful for you!!! I converted in 2004 and it was the best accomplishment God brought to my life! RCIA is wonderful and fun! Ask as many questions as you want and never feel guilty! I basically was the ONLY person to constantly ask questions in my class. There were 6 of us, 3 guys, 3 girls, and I think I drove Father Jay nuts with my questions. But he survived me!
Welcome Home to all of us! This Holy Catholic Church is the ONE TRUE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST!
God Bless us all and God Bless America!

I think I can identify really well with wanting support… my family is all SDA!

I just got back from the first ever RCIA meeting I’ve been to and the first time in a Catholic church in probably 15 years…

I grew up thinking of the Catholic church as the Antichrist power. My family still thinks so.

I will pray for you. You are my son’s age. He is accompanying me to RCIA classes. And I know all about the SDA folks…my boyfriend is one of them ! But we love them anyway…don’t we ? 😉

P.S. You almost have the same name AND same birthday as my son !

Hi All!

My prayers and best wishes go out to all who are attending RCIA classes.

I was baptised Catholic as an infant and then “re-baptised” (full dunk) in a Pentacostal church about 5 years ago. I would like to go to RCIA classes but due to a panic disorder I am unable to attend. At least right now. I have “bad times” and “good times”. Now is one of those bad times. So, I want to start studying for it at home on my own now while I have way too much time on my hands. Does anyone have any idea what book I would have to get in order to do this? I have tried to contact my local parish TWICE, explaining my circumstances, and received no response. I find that in itself disheartening. Like I don’t matter. Could you all keep me in your prayers? I really want to do this because I feel like I’ve been “away from home” and “lost” for way too long.

God Bless
Karen
