I read recently,it is important to pray those prayers we were taught to say as children still,
(as adults) with that childlike love and sweet simplicity.
My mother taught me to go to sleep with my arms folded,as one would for a blessing and it
is going to sleep in prayer.
I would love to learn other gestures you were taught as children that you still practice that are part of your daily life 🙂

That’s lovely. I never heard of it.

I nod my head for the name of Christ. We are also taught to say a “Hail Mary” any time we heard a siren as a prayer for those affected.

So important :)You reminded me my parents said to say “Dear Jesus I love you” when my
brothers ,sisters and i heard the name of Jesus used the wrong way .

Prayers such as “Lovely Lady Dressed in Blue”. I have recently taught my little one this sweet prayer. Saying this prayer always helps when I get stuck in prayer, and want to think of how the Blessed Mother loved and cared about Jesus when He was a little boy.

Than you for posting this prayer!Recently my thoughts had been wandering a lot when I was praying and this prayer (the little I knew) helped me too!🙂 It’s great to have it all now 🙂

When I was little, about 3 or 4 years old I couldn’t memorize prayer our father, so my grandmother tought me to say “Guardian Angel, protect me in the day and in the night”. And when I want to say a prayer to my guardian Angel now, I sometimes feel tired for a long prayer from prayer-book, so I just say these words 🙂
