With each pope changing the rules does it means the bible his changing

The Pope can’t change the moral law or the Bible. However, like any society or organization, to be able to function there needs to be some kind of human law governing relationships and conduct that can be modified as the changing circumstances require.

Those are the rules the Pope may change, although he should not change them arbitrarily or often–legal rationality and stability are also necessary for a society to function properly.

He can’t change the divine law, or the natural law. He can alter “positive” law, man made law.
The controversy comes when an alteration in positive law seems, in the view of some, to undermine indirectly or unintentionally a law of higher authority.

I’m not sure this has happened in recent years.

The areas where the Pope makes changes are not the bedrock teachings of the Church based on scripture and tradition. Changes are made to adapt and better carry out the same teachings in an evolving society.

Right–human law, as a derivative of divine law, has to be in accord with it.
 
I’m from both sides Catholic and protestant and my grad dad said if the pope can’t make he’s mind up what’s chance has us near mortals have comdons just one example

Getting into the difference between doctrine and discipline here.

But to your original question…you should look up to see if the Catholics revised the Bible as the Church’s teachings on slavery developed. You’ll find that it’s still the same Bible.
 
Thanks it hard when getting second hand, he fell out with the church because of strictly nuns said to be handy with the ruler and he’s was Irish world war 2 vet
 
What? What do you mean, “changing the rules”?

The Pope has spoken exactly zero infallibly.

Revealed truth, whether by sacred scripture (written tradition) or by the Apostolic Tradition, cannot and will not change.

His opinion might change, but that is not binding on you.

depends on what kind of ‘slavery’ you are talking about. There’s more than one version. The Church condemned chattel slavery. The majority of chattel slave holders were protestants.

But here’s what most people don’t realize. The Pope has no way to enforce his declarations outside of the church.
 
The pope has no right to change the bible. He cannot make any changes to dogmas of the Catholic church.
