One time I went with my dad to his “nondenom” church, one young girl (around my age) on the mega tv (lol) was talking about the wealth of America (and apply this to the other devopled contries of the world) she said “some ppl believe America is blessed by God, but I think it is cursed. With all our wealth and material possesions we are so far from God” something along thos lines

A few weeks ago I went to my friends graduation (Catholic School), the bishop was there too it was cool:thumbsup: . But that’s besides the point. So the principal was talking about how much money certain career fields earn, then went on to talk about how much the students would earn. He then explained that in one year the average gradaute even today as he sits in his seat with no college, will make more money in one day then most ppl on earth will make in a lifetime, then how they would make more money in a day then most would make in a year.

Now maybe this is the young uncultured American in me coming out 🤷 , but for me the principal took a line from Spiderman and modified it. He said “so with great wealth comes great responsibility”. So I thought his speech was great, I felt as if I was not cursed nor blessed, but given a special task. Even though I’m of the working class and don’t make much money, the little money I have is extreamly helpful to the poor and needy. But that it is what I got out of it. I just loved the whole idea of his speach.

*How wonderful that you are seeing parallels to the messages we find in God’s word. Remember Jesus’ words… I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me (Matthew 25:35-36). ***
** Everything we have is a gift from God; to not share what He has given us is a grave disrepect.

Luke 12:48b
**Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more. **

May you continue to see God’s will for you in the everyday messages of life~
Shalom~

Just be careful that you don’t fall into the trap of thinking that you don’t deserve the money that you earn by hard work, and that others who don’t work at all deserve to take your money away from you.

Or the trap that ALL professions should be paid equally, so that a doctor with twelve plus years of school should make the same amount of money as a janitor who dropped out of high school.

Both of these economic systems lead to lack of motivation, bureaucracy, misery, and eventual revolution.
