I do not know where you live, but I have never been pressured to accept any political. social belief, or lifestyle.
As for respect of other’s opinions, I see people on both sides of most issues trying to claim some sort of moral high ground. The demonize folks on the other side of the issue.
You, yourself, used the term “radical liberals.” So, because they are liberal in their politics, they are radical? Or is it that you disagree with them that makes them radical?
Ten years ago, the premise that we can agree to disagree without being disagreeable used to be the norm.
Today, we have political rallies where people not the rally are called enemies of this country.
Going back to the early days of this republic, there were arguments about various things. Should we remain loyal to the King or declare our independence? Those on one side of that argument or the other we not demonized.
