has anyone read this book. i had just been reading something posted on CAF about a blog that Hilary Mantel writes and someone had mentioned this book, then a friend recommended it to me.
i picked it up at the library in large print and am only about a 1/4 of the way through the book.
i find it confusing as to which character or person they are talking about. is it the cardinal, cromwell, thomas more? did anyone else have this problem. i can’t tell yet if the book is anti-catholic or anti-reformation as it seems to paint both sides as being corrupt.
i would welcome anyone else’s experience reading the book or their opinion. i guess there is a second book called Bringing Up the Bones and a third is about to be published in the trilogy.
