There is problem with this verse and the teaching prohibiting women to travel alone.

We know today that women do travel without men whether by choice or by necessity. That makes Mohammad’s decision a short sighted one; seems he didn’t look into the future far enough unless you tell us Islam is only good for seventh century nomadic Bedouins.

The reason that women should be protected by men (probably against bandits, robbers, rapists and molesters) and therefore should not travel alone, implying a society where people especially men are bandits, robbers, rapists and molesters. If this is so, certainly Islam does not have any hope or expectation that its society is full of God fearing people. It certainly does not believe in its own teaching.

The decision prohibiting women to travel alone on the ground that they need protection is not valid. Even men are exposed to danger when travelling alone. Was it not common for men to be robbed and molested by bad people?

The only obvious reason therefore for Mohammad to ban women travelling alone is surely very personal, perhaps out of personal grudges and resentment against them or perhaps a pervert desire to control them.

actually , there is no verses from quran talking about this issue , it was hadeeth which can to be limited easily with the circumstance 1400 years ago , as for such ahadeeth were responding for questions from the muslims in this time

It is not filled with the dangers of the waterless deserts, encounters with thieves, highway robbers, etc. Now travelling is by various modes of transportation that usually gather large amounts of people at a time, such as planes, cars, buses, ships, etc�Thus, this provides plenty of confidence and reliability, removing feelings of fear for the woman, because she will not be by herself in any place

In the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to Adiy ibn Hatim we read: “**If you live long, you will see the woman travel from Hirah (a city in Iraq) to circumambulate the Kabah fearing none but Allah.” (Reported by al-Bukhari) **

not every moral aspect in islam have to be involved in law and regulation
as for example it’s a sin to not pray salat though it dosn’t mean that the rules and regulations be applied in such matter
the same with lying or any bad behaviours which consider to be a sin but in the same time it dosn’t apply to the laws .

2)Women should not teach.

3)Women should not have authority over men but should remain silent.

6)Women must keep silent in Churches. It is shameful for them to open their mouths therein. If they have a question they should ask their husbands before going to church and then their husbands will ask for them in the church.

7)A woman should neither pray nor profess with her head uncovered.

8)If a woman prays with her head uncovered then she might as well shave her head.

9)Man was created in the image and glory of God, and Woman was created in the glory of Man, thus Man must have power over her.

10)Any woman who delivers a male baby shall be unclean for one week. But any woman who delivers a female baby shall be unclean for TWO weeks. Thus, females make their mothers DOUBLY unclean as compared to males.
