Does anyone know of a good Catholic Women’s retreat that is
a) held on a weekend,
b) for a 30 something mother (not for grandmother/retired or for tweens/single vocation discerning,
c)has speakers and workshops, not only silence
d) occurs November or before

My husband wants me to go on a retreat this year, but my diocese offers no good retreats for women, only one awesome one for men.

Check with neighboring dioceses if they have a retreat center. Also monasteries offer retreats, too.

Location doesn’t really matter. It has to be in US, but my husband is willing to fly me there.

Well, I’ve never been to a retreat here, but I have seen the place and it’s absolutely beautiful.

The dining room faces the Atlantic Coastline.

Anyway, you mentioned you want it to be a directed retreat, so I think they’ll fit.

However, I understand it takes a while to get a reservation.

I guess I should have been more specific. I don’t mind grandparents, I just don’t want to go to a retreat that has a targeted audience of the elderly. Yes, this is closer.

I haven’t been, but several friends of mine (so mostly moms in their 20s and 30s) have really enjoyed Emmaus retreats, which I think is a program that offers retreats in multiple areas.

I’ve only been able to do day long retreats so far, no overnights, but similarly there it’s people my age.

There is an Ignatian women’s retreat held twice a year at Christ the King in Buffalo, Minnesota. The next retreat is in October. I am a new user on this forum and cannot post a link; however, you should be able to find more information with a google search.

Not, if possible, but I’m fine with a retreat with some small charismatic elements.

Check the schedules at some of these places to find out when they have women only retreats:

Have you called your Diocese?

A google of Catholic Woman Retreat and the state you want turns up many!

You might also check the website of well known Catholic speakers:

Found this one on Teresa Tomeo’s website (and if you are willing to fly, fly big 🙂 )
