If I’m not mistaken, according to Muslim belief, men will get all the women to “enjoy with” in heaven. Not just one woman, but many.

What will women get? Will they all be like prostitutes, satisfying one man after another?

No, they will be like concubines, each devoted to one man.

According to some Muslim scholars, these are not real women but Jinn.

Ohhh–incubi and succubi, huh?

They are translucent beings. However,

the real meaning of 72 virgins is “White Grapes.”
Some modern day philologists such as Christoph Luxenberg have argued that the word huri, has been misinterpreted by generations of Muslim readers as wide-eyed virgins (who will serve the faithful in Paradise; Qur’an 44:54, 52:20 ,55:72, 56:22) actually means white grapes. He suggests that the word is actually a misread from its actual meaning of “white grapes”, a word often found in many Christian descriptions of Paradise as abounding in pure white grapes. This theory sparked much joking in the Western press; Muslim suicide bombers would be expecting beautiful women and getting grapes.

Prostitution on earth is different than prostitution in Janna.

I wonder if women can get 70 men as well.

Well, first of all, prostitutes get paid, so that idea’s right out.

Also, perhaps the term ‘jinn’ might be better sustituted with the Persian word ‘peri’ or possibly the older meanings of the Greek Nymphs, but I think ‘peri’ is closer to the idea here.

They are supernatural beings themselves, not only meant for the delight of those humans in heaven, but for the glory of God, or Allah if you’d rather. Indeed they are beautiful, and surely capable of love, true companionship, and devotion, but they are not fleshdolls, and have many other attributes, such as healing, growth, even prophecy.

This is my understanding from researching the notion, and yes, I think many both in the East and West get a skewed picture of these supposed beings, as no doubt I do as well…but I think that my words may help.

If it’s a mistranslation, why did no one correct it?
Quite possibly because, as with most semitic languages, it’s written with an abjad instead of an alphabet, and the word may have been recorded sans-vowels. I don’t know, I’ve not looked at the passage, and while I know how to write and can, using some charts, identify the sounds and letters of Arabic, I neither speak nor read it.

Much of Arabic and Hebrew is written without vowel notations.

Many parts of such are questionable. Such as Ravens and Arabs… in hebrew, they have the same consonants.

But for example some Native American languages have apparently kept stories alive a long time without any written language. The storytellers are trained from early childhood to be exact and memorize the words.

There is no need for a Muslim man to enter “paradise” to fornicate with white grapes. He can still do it while he is on earth. Ask any Muslim about the Nikah Mut’ah:

***“Also (prohibited are) women already married, except those whom your right hands possess: Thus hath Allah ordained (Prohibitions) against you: Except for these, all others are lawful, provided ye seek (them in marriage) with gifts from your property,- desiring chastity, not lust, seeing that ye derive benefit from them, give them their dowers (at least) as prescribed; but if, after a dower is prescribed, agree Mutually (to vary it), there is no blame on you, and Allah is All-knowing, All-wise.” ***
Sura 4:24

Yes, but there is apparently also a market to pick and choose other partners:

**Al Hadis, Vol. 4, p. 172, No. 34
Ali reported that the Apostle of Allah said, “There is in Paradise a market wherein there will be no buying or selling, but will consist of men and women. When a man desires a beauty, he will have intercourse with them.”

This is in addition to the 72 virgins and seemingly satisfies the appetites of both heterosexual and homosexual men.

The context of the verses in the Koran makes it clear that Muslim men will have “women” as their reward rather than white grapes:

Surah 55 Ar-Rahman
46. But for him who feareth the standing before his Lord there are two gardens.
  1. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?
  2. Of spreading branches.
  3. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?
  4. Wherein are two fountains flowing.
  5. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?
  6. Wherein is every kind of fruit in pairs.
  7. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?
  8. Reclining upon couches lined with silk brocade, the fruit of both the gardens near to hand.
  9. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?
56. Therein are those of modest gaze, whom neither man nor jinni will have touched before them.
  1. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?
  2. (In beauty) like the jacynth and the coral-stone.
  3. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?
  4. Is the reward of goodness aught save goodness ?
  5. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?
  6. And beside them are two other gardens,
  7. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?
  8. Dark green with foliage.
  9. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?
  10. Wherein are two abundant springs.
  11. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?
  12. Wherein is fruit, the date-palm and pomegranate.
  13. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?
70. Wherein (are found) the good and beautiful -
  1. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? -
72. Fair ones, close-guarded in pavilions -
  1. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? -
74. Whom neither man nor jinni will have touched before them -
  1. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?
76. Reclining on green cushions and fair carpets.
  1. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?
  2. Blessed be the name of thy Lord, Mighty and glorious!

The context of the verses in the Koran makes it clear that Muslim men will have “women” as their reward rather than white grapes:

Surah 55 Ar-Rahman
Do women have any reward in Muslim heaven?

I always thought they were Jinn (the virgins) but I read somewhere that they were non believers.
Has anyone heard this before?

Do women have any reward in Muslim heaven?
yes, wowen receive what Paul says " what no eye has seen…".

Now will women get many men they want, like their fellow males? no, the woman will only get her husband. If she was married to more than one, then she’ll have the best among them.

no, the woman will only get her husband. If she was married to more than one, then she’ll have the best among them.
And meanwhile, her husband will make merry with 70 other women??? :o

iaskquestions, as crude as this sounds, but i guess Islamic women are taught to practice patience as they watch their husbands in heaven fornicate with 70 different women. If i was a woman, i’d be raging mad, but that’s just me. 🤷

You would think so; if women were as equal to men as they claim them to be.🤷
They must posit a totally separate heaven for women. Have they written any doctrine on what that is supposed to be like or is it all up to every woman’s imagination?
It can’t just be the equivalent of a marketplace of virgins on cushions because frankly that would get old in ten seconds no matter the sex of the virgins. And if a husband of mine were waiting to get into the virgin-shop all through our marriage my idea of heaven would not include him.
