This is logically nonsense.

They are obviously not Catholic, regardless of what they call themselves.

I can call myself, king, nine feet tall, whatever I want. But the act of me saying it changes nothing.

They might think they’re Catholic, but they’re not.

Any man or woman that participates in this travesty has already excommunicated themselves by their actions, and are no longer Catholic. I have no valid orders or authority, so does this mean I can ordain my wife to the priesthood. I think not. But it would be just as legal as what they propose to do. May God have mercy on their souls.

This is quite true. It is difficult to understand their reasoning. They claim that a bishop with valid authority has already ordained women. But we know that if this was done by valid bishop, he would have been excommunicated, so it still would not be valid.

A good idea when you are reading these news articles is to rate them when you are done. The lower the rating on them the shorter time they will be up. The opposite goes for articles that treat the Church favorably.

Just one more thing. Last sunday, a visiting priest gave the homily, and was advocating the ordination of women to the priesthood. He said " Ladies and girls, don’t give up! Things will change soon." I sat there with my mouth open. He has always been a little off the wall, especially his homilies, but never like this. My wife and I were discussing it, and she said that a priest in a neighboring parish also advocates womens ordination. I wonder when the bishops are going to come down on some of these priests?

I don’t get out much I guess. I have seen no female priests but have met some people who whish there were female priests. I have yet to hear a priest openly advocate for female priests. Additionally, I have yet to see/or hear about (with my ears) any priests living with the lovers (male or female) I have seen and heard of a few priests being removed from their parish for indiscretions. (I am talking about adult relationships here. Please keep it at that)

I support our priests, even those that sin. There is no need to make their lives any harder by rumor mongering.

As far as Roman Catholic female priests go, I’ll believe it when I see it.

I recommend pointing this out to your pastor and, if needed, follow up with your bishop. Our new Archbishop in San Antonio has designated someone in the chancery to look into concerns.
( I haven’t had need to call him, but a friend who did was very appreciative of the response.)

It would no good to tell our priest. He also advocates women’s ordination and is about ready to retire this month. But I believe I will write a letter of concern to the bishop, who supposed to be really conservative.

It doesn’t matter who lays hands on a women with the intent of ordaining to Christ’s sacramental priesthood, they are just flapping their gums the same way a priest would be doing if he tried to consecrate graham crackers and chocolate milk.
God Bless
