Okay, I just saw this on SpiritDaily and think it is just:eek:   . It comes from a site, “Women’s Health Care Services, P.A., Specialists in Second Trimester Elective and 2nd/3rd Trimester Therapeutic Abortion Care”

"Meet Our Chaplain

George Gardner

The Chaplaincy program is designed to bring spiritual resources to those who come to the Clinic for help and assistance. Spiritually, abortion is acceptable in ten of the world’s religions and in Christianity many denominations affirm and uphold the right of a woman to make the choice of abortion.

The Chaplaincy program works with people from all religious backgrounds as well as those who are not a part of a spiritual tradition. The program offers individual counseling, group counseling and the celebration of spiritual sacraments such as baptism of the still born fetus and blessings for the aborted fetus. The program works with many different religions and is prepared to do, or arrange for, religious services from any spiritual religion.

The services of Women’s Health Care Serves is a coordinated effort so that every patient and significant other can experience the healing of body, mind and spirit."

Almost seems superstitious, too it is a false security blanket. Can’t you see some poor woman sitting there wanting an abortion, but wondering if she is doing the right thing, and they so it is ok, we take care of your spiritual needs too.

This is truly a bah-humbug case. :slapfight:

The really odd thing that I found out since my original post is that Chaplain George Gardner died four years ago, in October, 2004. Very strange. I guess that means that “spiritual needs” are not being met, but my guess is that “abortion needs” continue to be met. The whole thing is just  😦 .

I need a smilie that’s being sick as I am… Abortion needs. Some religious groups “recognize the right”, hm. Wow, I guess if some religions allow it it must be A-OK. Spiritual and all. Of course some religious groups, including some that said they were Christian, accepted the “right” of a leader to kill followers, and of the tribe to sacrifice teenagers and adults as well as children. So really with that guideline there’s actually no age limit at all to this need and right, is there, and it’s all done with the chaplain standing right there assuring us it’s fine and dandy, I suppose.
Of course, what am I talking about? It’s the same doublespeak I ought to expect from someplace that calls damaging a woman’s organs, scarring muscle tissue, a matter of “Women’s Health Care”. And since it causes later ectopic pregnancy, it keep sthem coming back, too. Nice work if they can get it.
