Not reaching a definitive conclusion with that five year study means it remains in the realm of theological opinion. Which leads me to pridict that the subject will not be approached somtime in the next 500-700 years. Just a guess though.
 
Here is John Paul II’s opinion for the survey:

“Wherefore, in order that all doubt may be removed regarding a matter of great importance, a matter which pertains to the Church’s divine constitution itself, in virtue of my ministry of confirming the brethren (cf. Lk 22:32) I declare that the Church has no authority whatsoever to confer priestly ordination on women and that this judgment is to be definitively held by all the Church’s faithful.”

In other words, case closed.

Therefore what’s the point in polling Catholics. The answers must be the same.

Surveys like this can be useful in identifying issues on which Catholics have been poorly catechized. Sometimes it is necessary to give an answer to the “Why?” heard from the ignorant who one is instructing.

I realize I am asking a bit late, but why didn’t the OP use an online survey site, such as surveymonkey.com/ ? It would automatically tabulate the results and provide a web link which could be posted in many forums and blogs, not just this one.

In other words, the point about the survey is moot. Regardless of what may be the opinion of many, the Church will never ever have women ordained as priests. The Church is NOT a democracy so the survey actually is pointless. Might as well take a survey on:

Can people without the aid of any mechanical aid walk from the earth to the moon in 30 minutes.
And notice the part in red. We all are required to hold this judgment as true.

The Church has spoken, the case is closed.
People may want to open it but they will simply be in disobedience to the Church. As has been the case in several instances, people have excommunicated themselves in attempting to ordain women.

Items 1-3 are demographic, ok
Item 4 is an opinion, ok

Item 5 however is strangely worded. An individual does not decide to or not to receive the Sacrament of Holy Orders. It is a Call that is discerned.

Item 6 is incorrect, Ordination (Sacrament of Holy Orders) being limited to Males only is not a policy but is an un-changable Doctrine.

Item 7 should read do you feel the Church has the Authority to Excommunicate those in violation of Church Law.

Item 8 is an opinion assumming it were possible, ok
