The book is called “Rome Sweet Home” by Scott and Kimberly Hahn.
I am most pleased with this purchase that my MIL and I went in on. It really is a wonderful book.
One of the things that I got confirmation on was when “two become one”. A couple weeks ago I had a thought as I was looking at my daughter. There is scripture that says when a husband and wife join together, two become one. The thought of husband and wife becoming one never really sat well with me, or never really described it well enough to my satisfaction. So as I was looking at my daughter I realized that when two become one, it is talking of children.
A child is the “one” that Bible is talking about. In this book, Scott also says the same thing.
Yesterday, I was just talking about this book with my wife and we got into talking about Mary, and purgatory (she opened the discussion by asking about purgatory) and I used some of the things that were talked about in the book to show why we Catholics believe what we do.
Last night, my wife came to me and said that she hasn’t felt joy in about a week, but when we were discussing the Bible and things of Catholicism and why we believe what we believe, she said she actually felt her joy returning. She said when we stopped, her joy went away again.
I am hoping that this book through my discussing it and the prompting of the Holy Spirit will allow encourage my wife to return to the Catholic church.
Again I say, this book is a wonderful book and praise God for Scott and Kimberley Hahn and their journey Home to Rome. Praise God!
