I recently read of a young woman who decided NOT to abort after learning that her baby was anecephalic. Her blog is riveting. It took me several hours to read her posts from beginning to end, but her story was amazing. Here’s the link:

Along similar lines, here is a 6 minute + 10 second video that tells the story of another family whose baby had a genetic defect. It is very moving, and I hope you’ll enjoy it.

So many people would make different decisions about these pregnancies. My respect for these families is boundless.

Inspiring! Thank you for sharing this.

My cousin’s little girl was born with hydrocephalus (water on the brain) and they knew that she would be a “special needs” child. It didn’t matter to them. She was their child, and they were going to love her and raise her. She is now a lovely young lady in her late 20’s… and doing well.

Special needs children are truly gifts from God. Because they give those who care for and love them, a special opportunity to care for Christ… in those who suffer the most. Even if their lives are short. They matter.

Thanks again for sharing this. God bless.
