The presider at Mass this morning was a visiting priest who had come in to celebrate a wedding yesterday. I knew the minute he started the Opening Dialogue that it was going to be special. He chanted all the dialogue, the Collects, and the Preface. I hadn’t experienced that in decades. And after the first bit of dialog the people responded as though we do that all the time.

I was once explained that meekness is not just humbleness, but patience. This changed tge whole thing to me. I am not Catholic but I empathise a lot with RCC and I also understand those who want old masses and all that. But fighting bishops will not get it back methinks. But prayer and patience.
God wants to always show us that we don’t run the Church. He does. Especially His Son who founded Her. And if my prayers be answered maybe one day…

We split shift (my husband took the little two to early Mass) so I’d have some time to work with my oldest on sacramental prep lessons. I took the two oldest to a later Mass where: the woman in front of us was so moved by my little daughter’s singing she kept turning around to smile at her and tell her so, we got asked to take up the gifts, and I high fived a baby at the sign of peace.

I love hearing everyone’s wonderful experiences!
