Last night, there was a Mass with our Bishop. People presumably travelled a bit of a distance to come to this Mass, as I didn’t recognize a lot of the people there. I was wearing my veil, as I always do. As we were walking out, there was a woman about my mother’s age (old enough to have remembered veiling as a child), and she had tears in her eyes. She put her hand on my shoulder and looked at me and said, “You have a veil on. It’s so nice to see a young lady with a veil on, it’s been so long.” Keep in mind, this woman was not veiled. We spoke a few minutes, and then she just said, “Bless you.”
It was really touching to see, and I wonder if maybe that caused her to want to veil again. It’s amazing how the Lord works.
