Well, good news, I think – my friend spoke of going to Mass in another town on one of her trips. So perhaps she’s getting the hang of things:thumbsup:. I hope I didn’t overreact in the first place; :o I was just concerned, in case I felt I needed to offer some friendly advice, etc.

I also believe everyone’s prayers have helped. Thank you.:signofcross::blessyou:
I’m glad things are working out. I disagree with those that say its none of our business. There is a way to do it in loving correction. What is it Fr. Corapi says, “tell the truth, in love”. I found this out when I assumed my brother, who had come back to the Church way before me and was receiving communion, knew about obligation for confession. But since I never learned it growing up…I thought I would mention it to him…in a kind…and kind of sisterly teasing way. Bottom line…he went to confession for the first time in decades!

Different personalities respond better to different things.

If your relationship with her is such that you can joke around, you could say it like, “Hey, God missed you last Sunday, He lives in Florida, too ya know?” (I would laugh, and get the point, if someone said it like that to me.)

If she needs less casual conversation you could mention the days of obligation for the month like, “Oh, hey did you see All Saints Day falls on a Monday this year? Gosh, looks like we’ve got normal Sunday Obligation and a Monday one this week.” (I could be wrong, just using it as an example).

I think someone said it already, that it’s probably not that she doesn’t know to do it, she just can’t make herself do it yet. I’m still going through RCIA, but before the class even began I was attending Mass. We went on vacation and I made it a point to find a Catholic Church nearby. 🤷 Some people just have to get used to doing it.

The seven practices of Catholic charity toward our neighbor’s soul:
Admonish sinners
Instruct the ignorant
Counsel the doubtful
Comfort the sorrowful
Bear wrongs patiently
Forgive injuries
Pray for the living and the dead
These are based on the teaching of Christ and on Church practice since apostolic times.
The spiritual works of mercy are oriented toward the soul. The corporal works of mercy are oriented toward the body.
