The Eastern Churches used a different formula (in the negative sense)
“You are absolved of your sins…” Nothing about the priest doing it ( I absolve you…). Since the Eastern method is without doubt a valid absolution as well, the necessity of precise wording would not seem to be a requirement for the Sacrament.
