My experience in the US is that it is very polarized, even on this. People would tell me: ‘Canada is so great, paradise on earth, I should move there’ (lol) or ‘Only a radical socialist with a let-the-government-take-over mentality would think of moving there’.

I dont know, that is why I asked. but for the past 4 years Trump has been treated like his is garbage. Now that we might have a President the leftist like, you are going to read and see more of the “lets not spew venom” or “your just mad that Biden won” the list can go on and on and on, but it is an attempt to silence decent. Which there was no attempt to silence it during the Trump administration.

OP here…for what it’s worth, the priest in question is not a “shill” for the Democrats. I don’t know his political affiliation, but he very well could be a Republican. His brother has held elective office as a Republican and is currently an appointed official in the Republican administration at the state level. The priest is a 100% solidly orthodox Catholic, there is no doubt in my mind about that.
