Words we speak out loud

I would agree with what this article says. As long as we do not think we can speak things into existence. I can think of at least one televangelist who wrote a book on that topic. Pure nonsense, of course. Only God could speak something into existence.

I would not have posted this article if it espoused false doctrine.
I read it carefully, and it teaches soundly from Holy Scripture the word of the Lord
❤️🙏

It’s a good article and calls to our attention all the major verses about the power of words.
Here’s another good one:
Proverbs 17:27 “The one who has knowledge restrains his words.”

And in the reading today, God gives Moses the words to use which will call down a blessing upon the House of Israel.

Jesus tells us to bless and not curse.

We do need to remember, as the article mentions, that Jesus said we will be held accountable for every idle word that we speak.

Thanks for posting this.

I feel God is wanting me know that I need to watch my words and speak only in a manner that glorifies Him and blesses and encourages others.
This is why I shared it here.
☺️❤️🙏

Thank you for sharing this. It is something that I have been thinking about lately and I needed to read these verses.

“Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear.” Ephesians 4:29

Not to be a party pooper, but every time somebody posts a link from Got Questions we need to repeat that it is known to be an extremely anti-Catholic website.

This particular article may be okay, and I have seen a few other things from that site that are okay, but in general we should avoid promoting the Got Questions site here. There’s a lot of other stuff on their site that is not okay.

It’s better to only post links to Catholic websites, especially when the topic in question is interpretation of the Bible. There’s less chance of leading people astray if you stick to Catholic sources.
