One door has closed and another has opened. May St Joseph continue to strengthen me in my new situation.

Gory, if still sanitized details: I had a disciplinary issue at my job. In a highly charged moment, I had spoken inappropriately to my manager. I absolutely own this, and and fully anticipated that I would be called aside the next day – I apologized to the manager and he accepted that, and then he informed me that I was indefinitely suspended.
And that was the weird part. I had zero interaction with HR. I had no written record. I had only this manager’s verbal instruction. For 10 days that was all I had. Even after ten days, the only communication I had was only tangentially related (and of questionable legality).

Anyway, since job-dissatisfaction was part of what precipitated the incident, I took advantage of my down-time to look for a new job, which I found one to which I believe I shall be much better suited. Woo-hoo!
