Working on Sunday question

I have been thinking about for extra cash while I am in college buying stuff and selling at the local flea market. The only days they are open are Saturdays and Sundays. Would it be considered working on Sunday if I sold stuff at the flea market on Sundays?
 
I’m guessing by the lack of replies that its ok to sell stuff at the flea market on Sundays lol
 
Yes, it probably would be a sin. I don’t suppose it would be worth the money renting the booth if you just did it on Saturday?
 
Let’s see what the Catechism says:

2186
Those Christians who have leisure should be mindful of their brethren who have the same needs and the same rights, yet cannot rest from work because of poverty and misery. Sunday is traditionally consecrated by Christian piety to good works and humble service of the sick, the infirm, and the elderly. Christians will also sanctify Sunday by devoting time and care to their families and relatives, often difficult to do on other days of the week. Sunday is a time for reflection, silence, cultivation of the mind, and meditation which furthers the growth of the Christian interior life.

I guess the moral question that you dwell on is this: Can you not rest on this day, because of poverty and misery? Do you have no choice, to do this work, in order to support yourself or your family?

If you are working on this date because you have no choice, then this is not illicit. If you are doing this so that you have some extra spending cash, to go out and have a good time on Friday nights - well, that is a different matter. I would advise against that.

For some extremely poor individuals, they have no choice. And other Christians, who are better off, should show them kindness and charity.
