God will judge believers by their works and give out rewards accordingly. They will not be at the judgment seat of Christ for condemnation.
Could you explain a bit more. I’m not quite sure what you mean. (in relation to this for example)God will judge believers by their works and give out rewards accordingly. They will not be at the judgment seat of Christ for condemnation.
Protestants argue that from true faith emanate good works. It still falls back to faith. This question concerns the Protestant belief of Sola Fida. If works are not integral in justification, then why are we to be judged based upon our works?
Ref. Revelations 20:12 “And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.”
I’m just curious as to how this apparent dichotomy can be defended.
Thanks!
yes… but i was talking about someone who just repents, is not baptized…If someone receives a deathbed baptism, doesn’t Catholic doctrine say that all his previous sins are forgiven with no punishment? Temporal punishment only accrues to sins committed after baptism.
