Worried about my Confession

I went to confession today. I was confessing over a month of sins, so I wrote them on a piece of paper to help me remember them all. During the confession, I was very nervous and I was more embarrassed about some sins then others, so I did not read and confess them in the order they were written. I’m quite sure that I got them all confessed, but i’m worried that I may have missed one because I confessed them in a different order then I wrote them. Do have a reasonable worry or am I just being scrupulous?

I am also worried that I might not have been sorry enough for my sins. I am very afraid of having unabsolved grave sins of my soul. I was very eager to get my sins forgiven because I am a terrified of the thought of having mortal sin on my soul when I die. So I may have not been repentant enough. Am I just being Scrupulous?

I think you should be fine, since you didn’t skip any on purpose.

1450 "Penance requires . . . the sinner to endure all things willingly, be contrite of heart, confess with the lips, and practice complete humility and fruitful satisfaction."49

1453 The contrition called “imperfect” (or “attrition”) is also a gift of God, a prompting of the Holy Spirit. It is born of the consideration of sin’s ugliness or the fear of eternal damnation and the other penalties threatening the sinner (contrition of fear). Such a stirring of conscience can initiate an interior process which, under the prompting of grace, will be brought to completion by sacramental absolution. By itself however, imperfect contrition cannot obtain the forgiveness of grave sins, but it disposes one to obtain forgiveness in the sacrament of Penance.52

And if it is something that you are really concerned about, go back. Go as many times as you need. If this is something that you really struggle with, look for a spiritual advisor to help you.

You are not alone when it comes to confession, there are others that worry about confession as well, it is not an easy subject with most people. there is things you can read about confession, if you are nervous person when it comes to giving confession, there are others that are that way, the priest is there to help you. You have to be willing to speak up, maybe you could have a discussion with you confessor about confession and some of the questions you have This might put you at ease. If you have friend you can talk to, that would be a good start as well. Nothing is ever easy.
