LAM guarantee there would be no pregnancy at 98% if we still met the criterias. It does not said you will have 6 months OF ammenorea!
Please, @heidi_storage, read my post correctly, because I do not said someonething else.
No bleeding is one of the criterias. I have not write it black and white to not be accused of giving medical advise.
You will be kind to correct the mistake of your post.

@Mommiebear is perfectly able to find what are the minimal criterias need to follow LAM (lactational amenorrhea method), on THE WHO (World Health Organisation) website, on the LLL (La leache league) website, or to consult her local LLL leader or her IBCLC lactational consultant.

And to contact her NFP instructor to know the postpartum rules. Not all NFP method have the same postpartum rules in relation with breastfeeding or not.
And it is pretty difficult with a working mom because the child must be at the breast for not only meals but comfort sucking, no pacis, etc.
You confused a little LAM with ecological breastfeeding, but you are right, because what you said make the breastfeeding more succesfull and give more chances of longer period of infertility.
From my own experience, many working women who express milk at work and sleep with their babies have an extended period of amenorrhea, but on a scientistic level, it is not sure…

What’s why I agree with you @TheLittleLady ady , and ask you @Mommiebear if you planned to stay with your baby for 6 months, as you have written about 6 months of breastfeeding?

What are you trying to do?

Exclusive breastfeeding while the mother met the 3 criterias given by the World Health Organization (see them yourself) does not guarantee that the mother will not have a period during the 6 months after the birth. It ONLY guarantee that only 2% of mother would get pregnant AS LONG as they met the LAM criterias.

It is clearer?

I did not give incorrect information.

does not guarantee that the mother will not have a period during the 6 months after the birth
If she has a period, then the LAM method no longer applies to her and she must look for other ways to delay birth.

I agree, that’s what I said from the beginning!! 😔

At least we can close this nonsense discussion…
