Worried - Did I commit sacrilege?

After receiving communion, about 15-40 minutes (hard to p(name removed by moderator)oint), and after having a drink and a snack, I spit onto the ground, absent mindedly forgetting I had just received the Host.

I have been thinking about this all day and am greatly concerned.

Because you are worried that you committed sacrilege, you almost certainly didn’t commit sacrilege.

The fact that it was not intentional on your part is important. You did not receive the Eucharist an pd immediately spit it out.

Spitting on the ground at all though, don’t. That’s a pretty disgusting thing to do.
