There are some pretty nasty fires in my area that have been blanketing us with ash on a daily basis. Lately at night I have had terrible periods of time where I feel as if there are two hands wrapped tightly around my neck, which does actually begin to physically swell below my throat. I’ve just seen a doctor, who did indeed acknowledge the swelling, but assured me that since my blood was being oxygenated properly I had nothing to worry about at the moment and that I should see him again next week if I continue to have problems. I’ve not wanted to go to the ER when these attacks hit (usually about 2 or 3 in the morning) because of the extremely prohibitive cost of emergency care that might be unnecessary. So long as I stay calm, the swelling doesn’t intensify and subsides within a few hours.

On the plus side, it’s got me praying my breviary again. But I could really use your prayers, too. I’m 23 and I should not be having issues like this! Know that I am offering this up for all of you, in particular for those of you with breathing problems that are more serious than mine.

Praying for you and for all those who are experiencing
health issues due to the wildfires.

Praying for the end of fires and health of those that live in those areas…

Prayers promised for yu and all affected. Both for health and property.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen
